Course with artisteducator in theatre Jesper Pouw (ánd The Hub)
As an artist/creative, how can you work from your own makerhood and at the same time respond to issues in society? We explore this together with a professional artist during this Course. You will be given creative tools to make contact outside your bubble, for a radically different approach to issues.
For whom?
For creatives, artists and the creative minds among social workers, teachers, journalists who want to use their creatorship to investigate social issues in a creative/artistic way.

With Artisteducator in Theatre Jesper Pouw!
Jesper Pouw is an artisteducator working with theatre in diverse social contexts. He uses theatre and connection to explore identity through an issues-based approach. What kind of issues are alive in a community? How to reflect on them through a creative proces? Art and education are powerful tools for imagining new possibilities in a changing world. Jesper has worked in the Netherlands, Belfast, and Rabat, engaging with different communities.
In this course, we will explore what it means to work in a social context, how to analyze it, and how to use connection to fuel your artistic process. You will learn how to engage with community issues without trying to fix them. By the end, you’ll have practical tools to reflect on your position as an artist and create a framework for an independent project.

- There is room for 15 participants up to 28 years old. Participation is in order of application.
- There is no selection based on motivation, but when you apply, please indicate in a few sentences why you want to participate. We are very curious as to why you feel like doing this!
- Good to know: the Courses are free, but we do expect commitment. So if you sign up for a Course, make sure you can attend all five.
